Social Justice

Are you interested in social justice, human rights and multiculturalism around the world? Do you want to broaden the way you think about people and cultures?

Students enrolled in the Social Justice Learning Community will be encouraged to participate in the celebration of the rich intercultural perspectives of campus life. The community will focus on such topics as human rights, inequality, global sweatshops, child labor, children and war, culture, consumption and the environment. The Social Justice Learning Community sponsors the "Global Gourmet", an evening of international food, fun, and entertainment in cooperation with the Towers Dining Hall staff. The event is hosted to open the eyes of the University community to the many cultures of the world represented on the UConn campus. Join in the fun and the wonderful cultural experiences of the Social Justice LC.
