Community Service

Love to Volunteer or Work for Social Change?

Get involved at UConn from the start! Join this Learning Community (LC) with a focus on community outreach. Here's a chance to live and learn with a small group of students and work closely with faculty and staff on community issues. Take a cluster of courses that meet graduation requirements which are also tailored to your interest in volunteering and community service. Take a great schedule of classes with new friends from the community.

In the Fall 2008 semester, students in the Community Service LC will enroll in a First Year Experience (FYE) seminar and English 1010. During the Spring 2009 semester, participants will take an additional FYE seminar class and Sociology 1001W.
